Greenville’s Food-Focused Fall with Local Foodie, Dani Mathews

If you live in Greenville, SC you are aware that it has been and continues to be, a very food-focused fall.

euphoria turned 20. Fall For Greenville welcomed 60 + local and regional food vendors onto 10 blocks of Main Street. The Peace Center is about to host the first ever MICHELIN Guide American South Ceremony in November.

Endeavor, showcasing their love for food and entrepreneurial brilliance, welcomed the one and only Dani Mathews, more commonly known on Instagram as @healthyishdani, (a local foodie celebrity) as keynote speaker at their fall Collaborators & Cocktails series.

The room was packed with just some of her 135,000+ followers (the building does have a capacity after all), all gathered to hear Dani’s journey to becoming one of Greenville’s most-followed influencers—and how she turned her passion into a full-time career. She shared how she’s navigated explosive growth, how her childhood love of cooking has led to unexpected opportunities and marketing tips that anyone in business can learn from, no matter your career.

Here’s a few pieces of advice that stood out:

  • Make sure you are talking to your audience. What do they care about? What do they want to know? Ask yourself those questions before you share anything.
  • Be prepared and organized and much as possible. Make your plan for the week. Scrambling is risky!
  • Know what keeps you inspired. What do you do that fills your cup?
  • Everyone gets overwhelmed, and that is okay. Just call on the techniques that help calm you when that happens. Dani’s go-to techniques are yoga, journaling, being in nature, walking her dog and taking a trip once a month (if you need travel tips, her page has you covered on that too).

September Collaborators & Cocktails

Food-focused fall continues at Endeavor on November 13th with Chef Chris Rosensteel and business partner Jeremy Krauze, the masterminds behind @societygvl and the recently reborn @citytaverngvl. Building their brand, their unique understanding of the customers who make them so popular and handling the re-invention of City Tavern – nothing is off the table for a discussion with these two.
